[NEWS] XIA(Junsu) releases the new song with 48.0kHz High Quality
DEC 26, 2012
Junsu of JYJ, known as XIA as a solo singer, is having a high profile after releasing the new song with 48.0kHz of sampling rate.
XIA(Junsu) released his new single ‘Thank U For’ with Sampling rate of 48.0kHz on DEC 24. It is a really rare case that a digital song is released as 48.0kHz rate for normal smart phones and MP3 players, not for some specified players. Before this, 44.1kHz which is rate for normal CD was a trend in general.
Sampling rate is the number of samples per a second taken from sound signal to make a discrete signal when an analog music file is converted to a digital file from a master tape, which means how many times it is sampled per a sample(unit: Hz). Sampling rate 48.0kHz says it was sampled 4,000 times(Hz) more than 44.1kHz that makes a digital song more sophisticated.
Recently I-River has released its MP3 player along with the high-quality digital music called ‘MQS(Mastering Quality Sound)’. MQS has 24-bits(CD and normal MP3 are 16-bits) with sampling rate of 96kHz.
LINN Records of the United Kingdom is also selling analog music as converted flac file with 24-bits and sampling rate of 192kHz for classical music.
